Radiator Socks

Lightly felted socks knit up quickly in bulky weight wool. Six sizes, from toddler to adult large. Make some for all of your friends and family! My grandmother made wool mittens and socks for me when I was little. I played in the snow for hours, my hands and feet kept toasty by the thick wool. When I came inside, she’d dry my mittens and socks on the metal radiator. They gave off a lanolin-scented steam, and got thicker after time. These socks are partially felted in the washing machine after knitting. They stay warm even when wet, and are great inside boots or ice skates. Would make a fun Christmas stocking, too!
