Product Description
Quonk uses a rather easy cable repeat to complement variegated or multicolored yarn while being more interesting to knit than plain stockinette or ribbing. As a bonus, the cabled ribbing provides for an accommodating fit, great for gifts! Test knitters rated it a beginner knit with the cast-on being advanced beginner to intermediate.
The Tubular Cast-on used in the sport weight beanie provides a stretchy, comfortable edge without a visible cast-on edge. The pattern comes with a photo tutorial on this technique.
GAUGE: 24 sts & 32 rows = 4“ [10 cm] in stockinette stitch 40 sts & 32 rows = 4“ [10 cm] in cable stitch pattern at rest
The beanie was written & test knit for 6 sizes ranging from toddler through adult XL.
Thank you to my wonderful group of test knitters: Audrey, Nita, Aimee, Lynn, Jen, Dominique, Ellen, Margaret, Jill, & Ruth!
