Pumpkins!

We love pumpkins, and these two are great fun to knit. One is a simple 2x2 rib that is great for beginner knitters who are comfortable with knit and purl, and the other uses a mock cable stitch that looks gorgeously textured using the Left Twist stitch. You'll only need approximately 80m of your main colour yarn for the pumpkin, and the stalks and leaves (both knitted in simple garter stitch) only need scraps of super chunky yarn. These pumpkins (finished) are about 10" tall, and look absolutely gorgeous on a mantlepiece or cosy chair. You can increase the size of both, by increasing the stitch count by 4, and making the pumpkin deeper.
