Enjoy making this plarn flower applique! I love nature and anytime I get a chance to show my love, I do. This flower applique is made with recycled plastic. The word ‘Plarn’ means Plastic Yarn! I have used soft, thin polythene grocery bags for making this flower. However, you can also recycle any soft plastic bags for making plarn out of it.
Plastic! It can be harmful to the environment. However, I like to see the glass half full rather than half empty. Plastic can also be recycled for creating art and crafts.
I want to inspire others as well to use it for making useful things than just throwing it in the landfills. Let us all help the environment a little at a time.
Skill: Easy
Suggested Yarn: Grocery Bag Plarn. For making this applique, you will need approximately 20-25 yds of plarn.
Yarn Weight: You may use any worsted weight yarn for making the applique. It doesn’t have to be plarn.
Crochet Hook Size: 4mm/ G-6 crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
