Product Description
A dainty cardigan for a baby girl, featuring a lacy flower border & contrasting scalloped edging. Worked in Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo DK, the pattern is in PDF format on 6 pages, with instructions in two sizes, to suit ages 0 – 12 months.
The back, front & sleeve pieces are knitted flat on single point needles, then joined at the yoke which is knitted as a single piece. I knitted the yoke on straight needles but you could, if preferred, transfer the stitches to a circular needle.
The flower centres are knitted separately & stitched onto the finished garment.
The main stitches used in the pattern are Stocking Stitch & Garter Stitch, together with a simple lacy flower design, the instructions for which are explained row by row. Simple increases & decreases are also used (eg: picking up the loop between sts).
