Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky is a 100% acrylic chunky, made for the projects you want finished this week: blankets, scarves, hats and easy jumpers. Paintbox Yarns is our own brand, designed in house.
On 6.00mm needles the fabric builds up quickly without going stiff, so larger projects like blankets and jumpers work up in a fraction of the time a DK would take. It crochets up well, with good stitch definition, and does not split in use. It stays soft after washing, and being acrylic it takes a machine wash and a low tumble dry, which matters for the blankets and kids' knits that actually get used.
Ideal for colourful stripes, granny squares, chunky colourwork and quick gifts. The shades are developed as a coordinated palette rather than one-offs, so colours can be planned across a project and matched with confidence. The yarn is OEKO-TEX certified.
Specifications: 100g balls, 136m (149yds). Tension 14 stitches and 20 rows to 10cm on 6.00mm (US 10) needles; 6.00mm (J) crochet hook. Machine wash at 30°C, tumble dry on low, cool iron, do not bleach. Made in Turkey.

Perfect for winter blankets
I have ordered and used many of the Paintbox yarns over the last 4 years. They are extremely soft and have great stitch definition. I can't say enough about this great supplier too! I am waiting for an out of stock product that is on your wait list. I'm using it for warmer winter blankets.
I like the brilliant choice of colours. It is pleasant to handle, has no knots, and is very reasonably priced. I'm using it for a baby blanket. This yarn washes well and holds its shape. I think it's quite important for people to know that this yarn can feel quite stiff but will soften and drape well once blocked.
Great yarn for creative projects
I'm using it for making a baby's blanket and adult bobble hats. I always use these yarns, lovely selection of colours. I'm still making them. When I’ve finished, I will show you.

Great quality yarn for toy projects
I’ve knitted 2 chunky toy snails from a King Cole pattern. The girls were delighted. It is lovely yarn which I have used before. I knew it was good quality and a great price just right for the project. It didn’t split which makes a real difference when shaping for toy projects.
