Old Shale

ErrataSwitch to color B (optional) and knit in stockinette (knit all stitches) until piece measures 9 inches from CO edge (from the longest part of the scalloped edge).

Old Shale is a cloche style slouchy beanie with a touch of lace at the brim. This is a great introduction to knitting lace in the round. The pattern is simple enough for a beginner or intermediate knitter. Includes Yarn Overs, simple Decreases, and using Double pointed needles.
