Oktoberfest Beer Stein - overlay mosaic square

Great for Oktoberfest, St. Paddy's day, Superbowl, or decor for a man cave! This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

The sample image uses 4 colors of yarn - one for the background, blue for the glass, gold for the beer, and white for the foam, which the chart & written instructions refer to but you can use whatever colors you like. There are approx 1 oz (50 yds) of each color used give or take. This is a great way to use up scraps!
