Mrs Garter invites you to play with yarn weights and colors, different lengths & fronts & so many options to wear the big collar.
The pattern comes with the short and long version and asymmetrical and symmetrical fronts.
Worked seamlessly topdown. The shoulders are knitted in the slanted contiguous method, which I developed on the basis of the contiguous method by Susie Myers.
You knit the collar sideways with a provisional cast on, retire the live stitches and pick up the back of the neck. From here you work the shoulders and sleevecaps seamlessly and separate the body and sleeves. The hem border is worked separately, similar to the collar, and joined with the body by three needle bind off. The fronts are then worked by knitting the stitches from the collar and hem and picking up stitches from the body.

Love the mrs garter pattern and the ease of use on the lovecrafts website!
I love the top down aspect of any pattern. This one was really fun!
Absolutely perfect on every level!
I’m using a Rico merino DK that knits up beautifully in. Favourite sweater pattern. I’m also stepping out and knitting a mohair mix which is challenging but will be amazing when complete!
Disappointed that the translation from the original language is so poor
I love the design and really want to make it, but it is very hard to understand due to the very poor translation into English. I would love it if the instructions could be properly translated into English.
