Product Description
This shawl design was initially created to complement the Mirkwood colorway that will be available by Sheepy Time Knits as part of a Middle Earth themed colorways. The motifs in the Mirkwood shawl reflect the essential elements of Mirkwood forest which was a dense and heavy woodland. It is home of giant spiders and the kingdom of King Thranduil of the Elves. The first motif reflects the points of the Elf arrows, the middle motif the forest trees and the edging embodies the spider webs which traps intrepid travellers.
You don't need to be a Middle Earth fan to enjoy this shawl. It looks fabulous in any color. Photos show the Mirkwood colorway (green) and South Pacific (turquoise), both in Sheepy Time Knits "All your Base" superwash 100% merino.
