Great idea
Great idea for little Christmas gifts. Hope to start on them soon ready for next Christmas!
These mini knitted baubles make super Christmas tree decorations, and each one holds a Ferrero Rocher / Lindt Lindor chocolate surprise!
The chocolates really do stay snug in the baubles whilst hung!
Use them as festive stocking fillers and novelty Christmas dinner chocolate favours too.
They are knitted in minutes from scraps of DK yarn - I have chosen rich jewelled colours but any oddments in your stash will do.

Mini Bauble Cover measures 5.5cm (excluding top).
These are mini knitted bauble covers designed to hold individual Ferrero Rocher or Lindt Lindor chocolates. Each finished bauble cover measures 5.5cm in height (excluding the top opening) and functions as both a festive Christmas tree decoration and a practical chocolate holder. The pattern creates snug-fitting covers that securely contain the chocolates while hung on the tree. These versatile pieces can also be used as stocking fillers and Christmas dinner chocolate favours, making them ideal for gift-giving and holiday entertaining.
This beginner-friendly knitting pattern employs fundamental knitting techniques suitable for crafters new to the craft. The construction begins with casting on and uses basic shaping methods including decreasing stitches to form the rounded bauble shape. The pattern incorporates Garter Stitch for the base section, which creates a textured, reversible fabric ideal for beginners. Stocking Stitch is then introduced for a smoother, more refined appearance on the upper portion. Strategic decreases—including Knit 2 together and Purl 2 together techniques—are used to gradually reduce the stitch count and create the characteristic rounded bauble silhouette. These shaping techniques demonstrate how simple decreasing methods can transform a flat piece of knitting into a three-dimensional form.
The pattern calls for DK yarn (Double Knitting weight) in assorted colours. Needles & Pins recommends using rich jewelled tones to create festive, elegant baubles, though any leftover yarn scraps from your stash work perfectly for this quick project. You will need 4mm knitting needles for the main construction and 3.25mm knitting needles for finishing details. The pattern is designed to use minimal yarn, making it an excellent stash-busting project ideal for using up small quantities of DK yarn remnants.

Excellent product just right for christmas
I am making the baubles as a table decoration for each guest at Christmas. They are easy and quick to make and can be used for any small round chocolate similar to Ferrero Rocher.
