Product Description

UPDATED! Pattern now includes small, Medium and Large sizes.

I created this pattern as an easier pattern to teach stranded knitting to my students. And living in the midwestern USA, this hat will provide some comfort this winter during outdoor activities. It uses roughly 65 yards of the main color and 45 yards of the accent color. In my samples I used Malabrigo Rasta in boomerang (the blue sample), and my own chain-plied handspun yarn for the fall colors, and pink/brown samples. This pattern is a great way to show off your small lots of handspun in a lovely fashion statement. I used purchased pom poms to top them off and sewed a button inside the hat to connect the loop of the pom pom securely into place. However, you could easily make a pom pom from your yarn as well. It is written in one size, but with a bit of math, could be adjusted. It could also be adjusted by switching needle sizes or yarn thickness.
