Mayangi and Matondo the Mountain Gorillas

You may be able to tell from looking into her kind eyes that Mayangi is a wonderfully loving and protective mom to little Matondo. She is sure never to let him out of her sight and though he’s free to climb trees and roll around to his hearts content on the mountainside he never roams too far before he’s back to snuggle up in the safety and warmth of her soft fur. If working with furry yarn is not your thing then the exact same pattern can be used with ordinary smooth yarn instead to create a beautiful pair of lowland gorillas.
