Product Description

Malabrigo Arroyo is a fabulous 5 ply (sport weight) superwash merino yarn, hand dyed in small batches to achieve the most glorious colourways imagineable! This beautiful sportweight yarn is perfect for your finer gauge projects, and could even be used with a DK pattern (change your needle size to achieve the correct tension). Made in Uruguay, Malarigo Arroyo has beautiful stitch definition, and the shades are as dreamy as their names; Jupiter, Aguas, Prussia Blue and Archangel - we love English Rose and Lavanda! Malabrigo yarn is hand-dyed, meaning that each beautiful skein is unique. As a result, there may be variations in colour between skeins of the same shade.

Please note: Skeins in your order may have different dye lot numbers on their labels.

Soft, vibrant yarn that's easy to work with

The yarn is very soft and perfect for the sweater I am making. The colors are rich and saturated, making a vivid statement. Winding the hanks was easy, some yarns are knotty and twisted, this brand never is.

Lovely to knit. The only issue with Malabrigo is that it stretches.

Return to this company again and again!

This yarn tops everything that I have ever knitted, and that is a lot of knitting! It feels beautiful to the touch but also has great stitch definition. Colour variation also makes it interesting to knit. I just love it!

Lovely yarn, but difficult to work with

The yarn is lovely, but it is delivered in skeins. It took me ages to wind it into balls, and even with the help of my husband, it was tricky to stop it tangling. I would not buy this yarn again because of this. It knitted up very well. I am making a cardigan.

Hi Janet! Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the yarn and that it’s knitting up well for your cardigan. We understand that winding skeins can be time-consuming and frustrating. Using a yarn swift together with a ball winder can make the process much easier and help keep the yarn under control while winding. We really appreciate you sharing your experience, and if you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.

Great for ordering, nightmare to be on their mailing list.

gorgeous, didn't need to alternate skeins. Lovely and soft, great stitch definition. True that it's a light DK but works beautifully with a normal DK CC if you're doing colourwork.
