A nice crochet shopper bag that became a “must have” in the last summers and that you will love.

This pattern gives you several options to personalize your bag and make it unique:

First of all, you can choose the dimensions: a smaller bag called “La Mafaldina” (30 x 25 cm) or a bigger one called “La Mafalda” (30 x 28 cm).

Length and width of the bag straps are up to you, depending on if you prefer a handbag, a shoulder bag or a cross-body bag.

You can also choose how to finish the bag straps: with ruffles or with picots.

The bag is worked from the bottom – up, seamlessly, in round. The bag straps are worked flat, back and forth. Single crochet stitches are used for the bottom of the bag, then the crossed double crochet is used as a light and romantic lace motive either for the bag and the bag straps, that can be finished with ruffles or with picots.
