Product Description
A realistic polar bear cub with a soft white mohair halo, dark knitted-in eye patches, round ears, sturdy paws with heels and embroidered toes and claws. The pattern also includes a brown bear version.
The bear is knitted with 3 strands of yarn held together mostly in one piece: starting at the shoulders with a provisional cast-on, you work forward over the neck and head to the muzzle and backward over the back and thighs. Hind legs and belly are divided from the back stitches; ears, hind paws and tail follow. Shaping is done with short rows, the eye patches in intarsia.
Includes: polar and brown bear versions, row-by-row instructions with stitch counts, many process photos and a color-coded marker system for assembly. Pattern in English (US terms) and German.
