I fell in love with this beautiful blue from On The Round the minute that I saw it. She called it Narwal and I knew that I wanted to use it in a soft shawl for spring. The little textured stitch used in the body is called Little Birds but I rather thought that it looked more like a whale’s tail splashing into the water and I immediately thought of Narwal! I paired it with a skein of earthy brown Pine Cone to keep it grounded. The edge is made up with a simple lace stitch that blends right into the contrasting picot border.
