This Leonardo illusion knit was been inspired by the self portrait created by the artist. His original is a subtle, chalk work. This pattern shows in how subtle a design can be and still work as an illusion.
The piece is designed to be viewed from the side and measures 48 cm wide by 70 cm high, when worked in DK yarn.
Steve Plummer has pioneered a different kind of chart for illusion knitting. All patterns include several versions of the charts, including those for use on mobile devices.
