Product Description

Lava tubes are natural conduits through which lava travels beneath the surface of a lava flow. The central stitch pattern in this cowl was chosen because it reminded me of the Kirkjan Cave, Dimmuborgir, Iceland.

Finished Size (blocked): 14.5”/37 cm wide by 27”/68.5 cm circumference

Gauge: 21 sts and 23 rows to 4 inches/10 cm in Lava Tubes pattern, blocked.

Yarn: 290 yards/265 meters of a MCN (merino, cashmere, nylon) worsted weight yarn/aran weight yarn that knits up to 4.5-5 sts/inch (2.5 cm).

Shown in: Indigodragonfly ‘MerGoat Worsted’, (80% wool, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon; 4.06 oz/115 grams; 190 yards/174 meters per skein). 2 skeins, Tapenodd.
