Materials:

• 2 knitting needles (2.5mm, US 1.5) with point protectors
• black lace/thin wool, weight: lace, gauge: 32 stitches = 4 inches
• regular sewing needle or crochet hook for connecting 
• 2 knitting needles (4.5mm, US 7) with point protectors for finishing

Abbreviations:

(k) - knit stitch (p) - purl stitch (Sl) - slip edge stitch (yo) - yarn over (k2tog) - knit two together (k3tog) - knit three together  (ssk) - knit two together (slants left) (knit x times) - knit between * x times
