Knee-High Sweethearts

I made these socks a few years ago and had the insrtuctions on Ravelry on name Sweethearts. I have since improved the instructions and added them also in Finnish. These socks are for skinny/normal legs, but I have a half-calf version of them that are for a wider foot/thicker calf.

The socks are knitted mostly using stockinette stitches. The ribs are a mixture of knit, purl and cable stitches. Main color is red with white heart and geometric patterns.

The socks were made with Aran weight, 80% wool/20% polyamide yarn (7 brothers by Novita) which makes them both warm and durable. Three balls of yarn are needed: two of the main color (red) and one of the accent color (white), total (each 219 yards/200 m).

You need five double pointed needles size US 4-6 (3.5 - 4 mm) depending on your tension, a cable needle, and a tapestry needle for finishing.
