Product Description
Jurata is a top-down shawl with asymmetrical short row shaping. The lively patterned Japanese style lace border with eyelet/picot edging is knitted on after the body has been finished. It is best showcased in a solid color. The body of the shawl features cheerful star stitch bands that look equally well in a solid, multicolor or long color repeat contrasting color.
Materials: 7 Oczek Merino 4Ply (100% Merino): 100g/ 438 yards 400 meters or any fingering weight yarn that knits up to gauge.
You will need 2 colors: 1 skein or approx. 420 yards (385 meters) in Color 1 (C1) and 2 skeins or approx. 600 yards (550 meters) in Color 2 (C2). The sample is made with colors: “Morska Grota” (30) and “Melediwy” (31).
Gauge: 20 sts and 34 rows per 4” 10 cm in garter stitch after blocking.Gauge is not essential; however, with a different gauge, actual finished measurements and total yardage will change.
