Jumping Stones

The Jumping Stones dishcloth is a fun textured dishcloth knit in fingering weight cotton yarn. Suitable for new knitters looking to practice alternating their knits and purls or for more experience knitters who want something relatively mindless. The dishcloth has garter rows that remind me of a river, the little blocks look like conveniently placed stones that allow you to cross the river.

The dishcloth is 7.5 inches (19 cm) (width) by 7 inches (17 cm) (height). Gauge isn’t very important for this project.

Materials:  • 70 meters (77 yards) of fingering weight cotton yarn.  • 3.0 mm needles (US 2.5)  • Tapestry needle

The pattern can be worked either from written instructions or from a chart.
