July Tee

When July comes, we have full-out summer. It is hot. It doesn’t matter how lacy your knit might be, wool just won’t be comfortable!

This tee is designed with a wider and lower neckline and slits on the sides to help keep you cool. The loose cut swings as you move and allows airflow around your body. Little details that can make such a difference on a hot, hot day.

The cut is boxy, but for those who avoid boxy cut tees because they swing way out after a larger bust, this pattern includes instructions for adding extra length in short rows on the front (generally, for cup sizes C-DDD). This allows the tee to hang straight down after the bust rather than wrinkling and tenting out. (shown with “D”/2 ins of short rows) If you don’t want the short rows, just leave them out!

You need to be comfortable working in the round & flat, knit & purl, slipping stitches, increasing & decreasing, picking up stitches, & grafting.

Worked back and forth at the top and bottom, and in the round for the main part.
