Inverness Gloves

Hand garments are not the usual item considered in gansey knitting, but why not? I found it to be a fun challenge to fit the patterning into these gloves, which could also be worked up as fingerless gloves, by binding off the fingers before the second knuckle. Inverness is credited as the origin of the motif used on the hands of these gloves. The zigzag motifs on the fingers are common in many places.

Knitted in 5-ply Guernsey yarn or sport-weight yarn with double-pointed needles.
