Product Description
It is a simple and elegant pattern I designed few days before Christmas. It reminds me of long walk into the forest on a frosty windy day.
Size and measurements
The pattern is written for 2 adult sizes: XS-S (to fit 48-56 cm /18-22 in head circumference) and M-L (56-60 cm /22-24 in). The folded brim length ca. 6.5 cm / 2.9 in, hat length from folded brim to the crown ca. 21 cm /8 in, recommended pompom size ca. 6.5 cm / 2.9 in in diameter.
Yarn
3 shades Lima from Drops (65% wool, 35% alpaca, 92 m in 50 g) or any similar non superwash yarn to match the gauge. Color 1: about 80 g petrol mix 0701, Color 2: under 30 g light brown 5310, Color 3: under 20 g off white 0100
Needles and notions
Size 3.5 mm (4 US) and 4.0 mm (6 US) circular needles with a 40 cm /16 in cables, 4.0 mm (6 US) DPNS to work the crown (optional), 4 mm crochet hook, 1 stitch marker, pompon maker (optional).
Gauge
21 stitches in 10 cm/4 inches with 3.5 mm (4 US) needles in stockinette stitch with fair isle motif.
