A classic crochet scarf pattern with fringe.
Skills: Knowledge of basic crochet stitches, techniques and terminology is assumed. The pattern is worked in long rows, changing colour at the end of each row.
Chainless foundation stitches (foundation single and double crochet - US terms) are used to start the scarf. The rest of the pattern is worked using US single and double crochet.
Materials: The pattern uses a 4.5mm crochet hook and around 300g of sport weight yarn in 2 colours (around half in each colour, though I used approximately 20g more of black than white).
Size: This scarf is intended for use by adults only and sized as such. The finished scarf measures around 165cm long by 27cm wide, unblocked. This excludes the fringe, which adds about 8cm at either end.
