Harpswell Pullover

The perfect sweater for that special man in your life: a classic fit, set-in sleeves, crew neck, but worked in an allover textured pattern that keeps things interesting. This comfy pullover is worked in the round from the bottom hem to the underarms. The front and back are worked separately to the shoulders, which are attached with a three needle bind-off. Sleeves are worked in the round to the sleeve cap, which are worked flat and then seamed into the body of the sweater. As modelled, sweater has approximately 4 in/10 cm of ease. This pullover could also be knit for a woman - substitute the M1L in the pattern for a yarn-over if you'd like a lacier fabric. Pattern includes both written and charted directions and a detailed schematic. Sample shown was worked in Brunswick Germantown, now discontinued.

Skills needed: knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, knitting in the round and flat, three needle bind off, seaming. Gauge: 18 sts/28 rows over 4 in/10 cm in pattern.
