Happy Teddy With Balloon

Pattern to knit a cuddly teddy in chunky yarn, holding a balloon and wrapped in a textured scarf.

Suitable for knitters who know the basics, the pattern is easy to make and can be knitted in any colour wool you have in your stash. Using only plain and purl stitch, he's perfect to make as a gift for someone special. Once knitted up he looks lovely standing on a child's bedroom shelf; the balloon can be suspended by a short length of cotton above his head.

To knit the teddy you will need: 4mm knitting needles, some chunky yarn for the teddy and small amounts of Dk yarn for the scarf and balloon, scraps of felt, thread, 1 metre of black Dk yarn for the mouth, toy stuffing and a darning needle.
