Hannah Newsboy Hat

This fresh version of the traditional newsboy hat is soft and feminine with a vintage appeal. Great for a date at the coffee shop or an afternoon at the market.

Worked in a DK weight yarn. Fiber content with some drape work nicely. Look for yarns that are superwash wool, wool and alpaca blends, cashmere, wool and silk blends.

Pattern Notes: Band worked flat. The hat sts are picked up from the band thenworked in the round, with increases to create the flop then decreases to create the crown shaping. The bill is worked in short rows. To keep the bill shaped, use a small peice of craft foam inserted into the pocket of the bill. Craft foam is plyable and washable!
