Product Description
What I love about ferns is their slender leaves... and amazing resilience not only in nature but indoors as hanging plants that make our spaces more attractive and liveable. The Hanging Ferns top reflects this duality, being suited to year-round indoor or outdoor wear if you slip on a jacket over top.
The top is designed top-down and seamlessly. The lace yoke is worked circular to the armhole band, then separated and continued flat around the fitted armholes. The body is rejoined at the underarms for circular knitting and continued with lace side panels. The raised back and fitted waist are optional. The pattern contains a schematic, sizing table, written instructions, and charts for the lacework.
The Hanging Ferns top is worn fitted with slight to negative ease of approx. 4.0 cm/1.5 ins, depending on personal preference. The armhole circumference and garment length are adjustable.
Sample garment: size 2 (XS).
Gauge: 28 sts and 36 rounds measured over st st with 3.25 mm (US 3.0) needle.
