Gingerbread Icing Scarf

This pattern creates a thick reversible scarf with cable and large rib effect. It can be adapted to any length or weight, below are the measurements for the example shown.

Needles:

US 8 (5.0 mm) straight or circular needles

Cable needle

Tapestry needle.

Gauge:

4 stitches + 5 rows = 1 inch in stockinette stitch.

Yarn:

Approximately 240 yds (220 m) each of two colors or 480 yds (440 m) total worsted weight yarn to create a scarf measuring 66 in. long (421.6 cm) and 5.5 in. wide (14 cm).
