The pattern emphasizes the importance of maintaining tight, consistent tension throughout the project to achieve proper proportions and structure. Crafters are advised that if their natural knitting tension is loose, using smaller needles than the recommended size will help achieve the correct gauge. Since this is handmade work, slight variations from the finished photo are expected and normal.

Stitches and Pattern Reading

The pattern uses fundamental knitting stitches with a symbolic notation system for easy following:

• X represents medio punto (half stitch)
• V represents aumento (increase)
• A represents reducir (decrease)
