Love Fyberspates Gleem Lace yarn for hand knitted shawls - My new love! It takes time to unwind the yarn, and you must remember to release the yarn before you start as it’s held in place with the self same yarn and it can be hard to see. I made a real mess of it the first time I used Fyberspates Gleem, and it took me a whole day to unwind and unknot my efforts! I was all over the kitchen floor with it😁. Patience needed! It’s a lovely rich colour. Looks and feels luxurious. It’s a bit pricey but knits up beautifully.
It was a lovely yarn but the colour was not what I was expecting. On the website it looked one colour but when the yarn arrived it was several colours drifting into each other. Very nice but not what I wanted. I returned the order with no fuss which I was pleased about. I couldn’t get an exchange so tried to reorder but the discount code wouldn’t work.
The colour is lovely and it is nice to knit with. It will need blocking to even out the stitching though - not sure how much that is down to my rusty knitting (it’s been a while!) or the wool. It does not feel as soft knitted as it did on the skein. The reason I have only given this 3 stars is the time it took to wind off the skein - far longer than any other skein I have used and it tangled frequently.

This is a beautiful yarn which knitted up very well. Came in a hank but easy to wind into a ball with my wool winder machine. Chose Peacock Blue which was a stunning colour.
