I wanted it to have an overall slightly retro 60’s vibe so I gave it a mock turtle neck, slightly cropped length and a body shape that tapers in slightly above the hips.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt can just as easily be knit in any yarn or combination of yarns that yields the equivalent to a dk weight. And given it is knit from the top down, the body shape and length can also easily be altered; the instructions include a straight body shape as well. If you prefer to lengthen the body you may need more yarn. The length in the pattern is 14ins \/ 36cm from the underarm for all sizes.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe collar is folded over and stitched to the inside at the end. Short rows are worked at the top of the yoke for the neck shaping.
