Product Description
This design was inspired by grey foggy winter mornings in Frankfurt. I believe, there are many of us, who feel the same in winter.
The pattern is written for 2 sizes, but can be easily adjusted to fit bigger or smaller size: XS-S (to fit the head circumference 48-56 cm /18-22 in) and M-L (56-60 cm /22-24 in).
The brim length 6.5 cm / 2.9 in, in total 21 cm /8 in from turned up brim edge to the crown, recommended pompon size 6.5 cm /2.9 in in diameter.
Yarn: 3 shades of Nepal from Drops (65% wool, 35% alpaca, 75 m in 50 g) or any similar non superwash yarn to match the gauge. Color 1: about 80 g; Color 2: under 20 g; Color 3: under 10 g.
Needles: Size 4.0 mm (6 US) 50 cm circular needles, size 4.5 mm (7 US) 50 cm circular needles, 4.5 mm (7 US) DPNS to work the crown (optional), 4 mm crochet hook, stitch marker, pompon maker (optional).
Gauge: 21 stitches in 10 cm/4 inches with 4.5 mm (7 US) needles in stockinette stitch with fair isle motif.
