Flail Amigurumi

This is a pattern for a crochet flail - a type of medieval weapon. In this pattern, only the spikes and 2 chain links are sewn, the rest is join-as-you-go, with some photos for visual explanation. With a G/4.25mm hook and worsted weight yarn, my flail came out with a 13” handle, and 28” from handle base to point, fully stretched. Gauge is not important for this project, as long as the stitches are tight enough to hold stuffing- your flail may come out a slightly different size.
