"First snow" is a doll clothes pattern for garments and accessories to fit Barbie-type dolls. The 19-page pattern contains two versions for the cardigan and a matching hat, worked flat and seamed. Instructions are written out as row-by-row description with detailed explanations, schematics and progress photos, and are fully charted at the same time for those who prefer to work from charts.
To make these items, you need to know: Knit and purl sts, casting on and binding off, simple cables (explained), knitting and purling 2 sts together, basic short rows (explained). Basic crochet (cardigan belt only): dc.
Materials needed: Yarn: YarnArt Kid Mohair (70% kid mohair, 30% polyamide; weight per ball: 25 g [0.9 oz], yardage per ball: 230 m [252 yds]) or other yarn with comparable yardage and gauge. Tools: Needles – 1.5 mm [US 000] + matching cable needle, Crochet hook – 1.1 mm [US 9 thread hook], Tapestry needle for seaming.
