Felted Ninja

After crocheting lots of pretty sweaters and scarves for my daughter, I asked my sons what I could make for them. One of my boys asked me to make him a ninja action figure. This doll is designed to be crocheted from the bottom up, essentially in one piece, then felted. As such, yarn with 100%  wool content is key to the success of this project. Stick to traditional ninja-black or customize the doll by choosing the recipient’s favorite color for the body and matching his or her skin tone for the face. Structure and the ability to hold a pose is added by building a bendable frame or “skeleton,” though  this step should be eliminated if the ninja is for a child aged 3 or younger.
