Ephemera

I am a sucker for yarns that look awesome before I knit with them, which is probably true for all of us yarn collectors. I especially love long repeat, color changing yarns that are packaged as a cake. That way I can look at the top and see exactly how the colors flow from one to the next. I designed Ephemera so that along one side of the shawl the color progression from your yarn cake is preserved with the different colors forming stripes of decreasing width. On the other side, color-blocking interrupts the yarn’s natural color progression to create a shawl with a symmetrical shape but asymmetrical patterning.
