The leafy lace edging is knit first on ten mm needles and cast off. Then the rest of the mini shawl is made by picking up and knitting along the lace border and knitting in garter stitch, decreasing to create the mini shawlâs horse shoe shape. It is held closed with a shawl pin. Its modelled here by my 8 year old, and looks cute as a shawl.
