East Coast Swing is a swingy, A-line vest that’s perfect for multi-seasonal layering. It’s knit all in one piece from the hem to the shoulders and features wide seed stitch front panels that also wrap around the upper back for a unique and flattering fit. Two length versions are provided for versatility - a ‘standard’ 13” length (green sample in photos) and a ‘long’ 16” length (yellow sample in photos). On my second one, really enjoyed knitting it, instructions very clear and easy to follow and divided into sections reduced the boredom of lots of stocking stitch considerably. Love that there is no sewing up to do and all the seams either lie flat or give an interesting detail. I am travelling at the moment and being on a circular needle makes it much easier to carry, not able to use yarn recommended, but I have managed to produce a wearable garment!
I bought the pattern and changed it somewhat. I would just recommend that you read and knit step by step.
Just cast on and so far so good. Reading through the pattern it seems easy to follow

This pattern was easy to read and follow. The instructions were clear. It is in written form only (no charts), which suited me just fine. I love that it's knitted in one piece with no seaming. I and another knitter made this together and we both love the resulting vests. I would definitely make this one again. I have purchased two other vest patterns from this designer and have been very happy with all three.
