A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIf you are using a sport weight for this hat, lofty woollen spun yarns work best in the required gauge. If you are using a smooth worsted spun yarn, aim for something that is closer to a DK weight.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePlease note that pom poms may present a choking hazard for children aged 3 years and under.
