Down the row hat

Description:

This is a top down hat. You can make it as long as you wish, short beanie or slouchy, maybe with double brim or even triple folded brim. Perfect project to use partial skein of yarn up to the last inch.

Skills:

You’ll need to know how to knit, purl, knit in the round with very small circumference, do lifted increases (LLI, RLI) and stretchy bind off

Size: XS - S - M - L that approx. Small child - Child - Woman - Man

Materials:

You’ll need between 120 yds (109 m) and 170 yds (155 m) of worsted weight yarn depending on the size and length of the hat

Size US 8 (5 mm) set of double pointed needles and circular needles length 16” (40 cm) or 32”-40” (80-100 cm) circular for magic loop method.

Plus tapestry needle and marker

Gauge: 20 sts and 23 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in seed stitch stripes in the round slightly stretched

If you prefer more dense knit fabric, you can choose smaller needles and go up to 1 size to cast on your project.
