Diamants de Noel

Several years ago a friend asked me to make Christmas stockings for his family. He wanted simple striped ones but as I made them I couldn’t help but think what an amazing canvas Christmas stockings would be for colourwork, these were the eventual result.

General Information Yarn Used: Cascade 220 Gauge: 24 sts and 32 rnds are 4” in stockinette Needles: set of 5 2.75mm DPNs, or size needed to achieve gauge Yarn: 400y of MC and 200y of CC Using this yarn and achieving gauge will give you quite a stiff fabric, so the stocking will not stretch out of shape when stuffed with gifts.
