Cupcake Shells Blanket and Hat

Two patterns - a baby blanket (baby afghan) pattern, and a matching baby hat pattern (size 0-3 months).

The baby blanket or afghan in lace design is made with baby sport worsted (category 2) yarn and size I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook. About 1100 yards of yarn needed. Note that the hook size is larger than recommended for baby sport yarn; I used a larger size hook to create a soft, lacy texture (using the recommended size hook will give you a denser texture). The blanket pattern can be easily adjusted to a bigger or smaller size. The multiple for the stitch is included in the pattern.

The size of the baby hat is 0-3 months. Finished size is approximately 12 inches in circumference and 4.5 inches in height. About 60 yards of yarn needed. The hat pattern comes in only one size, 0-3 months.
