Cupcake Mittens

1. These 'Sweet treat' novelty mittens have been knitted with oddments of DK yarn, worked flat on single point needles in two pieces which are then stitched together & topped with a separately worked flower decoration. Each mitten is suitable for left or right hand. Each pair of mittens requires approximately 1.8 ozs yarn or less:50 grams or less (depending on the actual yarns chosen).

The pattern is in PDF format on 5 pages. Instructions are given line by line for four sizes (to suit average ages 3 to adult). Photos are included showing how to construct the mittens & stitch them together.

Stitches & techniques required: K1,P1 Rib: Knit:Purl: increasing & decreasing.

Suggested yarns: I have used yarns from my stash, including Stylecraft Special DK & Robin DK, both popular ranges which are easy-care and offer a wide selection of colours to choose from.
