Crevasse shawl

In the beautiful expanse of glaciers, danger lies in deep cracks and fractures. This shawl was inspired by the crevasses found in glacial ice, pairing fractured lattice and rick rack ribbing to create texture that you won’t want to put down. This pattern features a contrast in stitch patterns and an engaging edge that creates a visually stunning shawl.

Returning after a long design break, I am stoked to share my first publication of 2019. This pattern has been tech edited by Emily Wakeling (@emilythetecheditor) and tested. This shawl combines stitch patterns found in my CREVASSE hat and cowl designs, and was photographed in Iceland. We only had a brief window for photos on our last day, and many of the photos shown here were taken moments before a storm hit.
