I’ve made 2 samples in two different fibre mixes and to receive the same blocked gauge I needed to use different size needles for the different yarns. It’s important to block the swatches as different fibres behave differently.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSample in Merino-silk \u003cstrong\u003eNeedles:\u003c\/strong\u003e 4 mm (US6) \u003cstrong\u003eGauge:\u003c\/strong\u003e unblocked garter stitch 23 sts\/10cm, blocked 16.5 sts\/10 cm \u003cstrong\u003eYarn:\u003c\/strong\u003e Botanical Yarn DK 50\/50 merino\/silk approx. 212m\/100g, 1 skein of each colour. I used approx. 89-91g of each colour for the sample.
