Confetti & Cables Socks

As Stephen West says, #specklesaresohotrightnow! These socks have been designed to showcase speckled yarn that may obscure a more intricate pattern, but still have a bit of interest (both during the knitting and in the finished object).

The contrasting toe, heel and cuff only use a small amount of yarn, which makes this a great project to use some of your favourite mini-skeins or leftovers from other projects.

These socks are worked toe-up with a short row heel and “mini-gusset” to ensure a better fit. The cable is worked on opposite sides of each sock for a mirrored effect. The cable pattern is only a four row repeat, making it easy to remember and continue without the instructions to hand.
